The purpose of the position is to develop customer orders into reliable technical solutions and guide them through the organisation. Within the team, you are the Lead and monitor quality and progress

Core tasks:

• Working out customer orders, in a team, in a project-based manner into reliable technical solutions
• Assess customer orders and advise on solutions
• Translating the customer specification into a design specification
• Managing the content of the project team and monitoring quality and progress
• Good coordination of content with the Commercial Project Manager (CPM)
• Assessing and releasing designs with regard to costs, technology and safety
• Transferring production files to Operations and taking care of kick-offs
• Supporting purchasing, assembly and installation and solving problems
• Supporting the sales and project manager in offering the right technical solution and answering specific technical questions
• Documenting project information

Advantages

• Several years' experience with a 3D CAD package.
• Experience with a PDM system, e.g. Agile.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate. The suitable candidate will have successfully completed higher vocational education, e.g. mechanical engineering or mechatronics. You take responsibility and have no problem working extra hours during busy times. You have several years of experience as a lead engineer and now want to apply your experience to complex projects. You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing, and you have good communication skills. Furthermore, you are willing and able to travel to (mainly) Asia several times a year.
